International Asansör İstanbul Fair, where all innovations in worldwide lift industry are showcased over the course of four days, has completed another successful edition. 28.868 professionals from 96 countries have visited the fair, where 289 exhibitors from 21 countries took their places at Tüyap Beylikdüzü, covering 50 thousand square meters exhibition area. Asansör İstanbul is organized by Tarsus Türkiye and supported by AYSAD. The next edition of Asansör İstanbul, one of the top three events of its kind worldwide, will be from 25th – 28th March 2021.
15% increase in International Visitors!
Chairmen of SEDEFED (Federation of Trade Associations), ELA (European Lift Association) and AYSAD (Lift and Escalators Industrialists’ Association) have participated the official opening ceremony of the 16th International Asansör İstanbul Fair. According to the post-event numbers, there have been a 15% increase in the number of international visitors with a total of 5,780. Almost one of every four visitors were coming from abroad. While opening new gates for new trade markets for its visitors, the fair hosted sales agreements, worth millions of dollars.
The 16th International Asansör İstanbul had a booming effect on the industry in a period that both shrinkage in domestic markets and trade wars in global markets are experienced.
Global Lift Industry have met at the fair!
The 16th International Asansör İstanbul Fair have brought Turkish Lift Industry, who had 160-million-dollar export rate in 2017, 185-million-dollar export rate in 2018 and have a target of 200-million-dollar in 2019, together with world’ s leading brands. Once again there has been German and Chinese pavilions at the fair. Particularly key domestic manufacturers, total of 289 companies from 22 different countries have attended the fair, including Italy, the Netherlands, Finland, Spain, Switzerland, Lebanon, Egypt and Russia.
Senior Ministry Officials have visited the stands
Deputy Minister of Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, Hasan Büyükdede, have visited the 16th International Asansör İstanbul, one of the top 3 events of its kind worldwide. He also attended AYSAD-ELA conferences opening and made an opening speech. Büyükdede have visited the stands together with Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology İstanbul Provincial Director Ümit Ünal, AYSAD Chairman Sefa Targıt and Tarsus Türkiye Managing Director Zekeriya Aytemur and got information on the products and services showcased by the exhibitors.
Quicker, smarter and more secure lifts are showcased
Quicker, smarter and more secure lifts were on display, as well as the newest products, machinery, equipment and technologies. Lifts suitable for residences, commercial buildings and hospitals, from in-house lifts to platforms, to goods and services lifts, to escalators and moving walks have all been showcased at the fair. Particularly package lifts were on display in most exhibitor stands this year.
In addition to newest technologies, industrial agenda was also discussed at the fair
International Asansör İstanbul 2019 was not only an exhibition place, but also an information platform, where industrial agenda was discussed. Lift safety standards and related subjects are discussed during the conferences held by AYSAD together with ELA (European Lift Association). In the national panel, hosted by the fair and moderated by AYSAD Chairman Sefa Targıt, the Formula for being a Turkish Brand in Global Scale was discussed. The panel, where Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology, General Director of Industry and Productivity, Halil İbrahim Çetin, AYSAD Former Chairman and Honorary Member Tunç Timurkan, Board Members Fevzi Yıldırım, Sedat Yıldız and Can Mutlu have attended, drew considerable interest.

ZIEHL-ABEGG was the first company to rebook for Asansör İstanbul 2021, where most of the exhibitors have reserved their spaces just before the fair ends.
