The International Lift Design Contest (ILDC) will be organized by AYSAD (Turkish Lift and Escalator Industrialists Association) and İFO (İstanbul Fuar Hizmetleri A.Ş.) with the support of ETMK (Industrial Designers Society of Turkey), will take as its theme ‘New Lifts for Passengers and for Passenger & Freiht in Existing Buildings’.
The objective of the ILDC is to develop new and authentic lift designs for existing buildings which are home to the majority of the world’s ageing elevator stock. 18.000 TL will be shared to the first three projects. Industrial Designers, Architects, Interior Architects, Engineers and students in higher education, must submit their entry applications before Monday March 16, 2015. The entries will be considered by an elected judging board which will convene on Saturday March 21, 2015 and the contestants and their projects will be awarded accordingly.
The contest has now been launched in the media and many relevant designs for new lifts in existing buildings are expected.
